Angelo State athletes delivered strong performances at the Boo Rogers Multis at Pittsburg State in Kansas. Dragan Pesic won first in the men's heptathlon, and Harry Maslen and Trpimir Siroki, finished second and third. As well, Pesic tied for first in the shot put and won the 1000 meter run. Siroki won in the high jump. Karlea Duhon, completed the women's indoor pentathlon with a score of 3364 points. Angelo State defensive lineman Markus Jones has been named one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy, given each year to the best football player in Division II. The Angelo State men's basketball team has announced its 2018-19 newcomers who will join the squad this season. The Rams, coming off an 18-11 season, have brought in several talented transfers and two high school athletes to join its five returners.

Angelo State's Kami Norton has been named to the Top 30 Honorees for NCAA 2018 Woman of the Year. The Woman of the Year award has been given out by the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics for 28 years and celebrates the accomplishments of female college athletes across all NCAA divisions. The goal of the program is to honor the athletics excellence, academic achievement and leadership of outstanding female college athletes. Norton won NCAA Division II national titles in both the pentathlon and heptathlon during the 2018 track and field season. The senior helped ASU to its highest finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships since 2010 with a third-place finish as well as the program's first LSC outdoor title since 2015.
