Angelo State athletes delivered strong performances at the Boo Rogers Multis at Pittsburg State in Kansas. Dragan Pesic won first in the men's heptathlon, and Harry Maslen and Trpimir Siroki, finished second and third. As well, Pesic tied for first in the shot put and won the 1000 meter run. Siroki won in the high jump. Karlea Duhon, completed the women's indoor pentathlon with a score of 3364 points. Angelo State defensive lineman Markus Jones has been named one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy, given each year to the best football player in Division II. The trophy is named for the late Harlon Hill, a former University of North Alabama standout who excelled with the Lions from 1950-53 before going on to fame in the NFL with the Chicago Bears.
