Angelo State University senior geology major, Isaac Ramon, participated in a sonic drilling demonstration while field training this summer at Western Michigan University. WMU Hydrogeology Field Courses offer students a chance to gain career-level experience in the drilling industry. Presley Rumsey, an Angelo State University art student from Lubbock, was featured on the "Concho Valley Live" news and information program on KLST-TV, San Angelo's CBS station. She recently completed her third public mural at Texas Trust Credit Union in San Angelo and has previously painted two other murals in the downtown area. Fragniere Earns Offensive Player of the Week - Official Athletics Site of Angelo State University

Angelo State's Kami Norton has been named to the Top 30 Honorees for NCAA 2018 Woman of the Year. The Woman of the Year award has been given out by the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics for 28 years and celebrates the accomplishments of female college athletes across all NCAA divisions. The goal of the program is to honor the athletics excellence, academic achievement and leadership of outstanding female college athletes. Norton won NCAA Division II national titles in both the pentathlon and heptathlon during the 2018 track and field season. The senior helped ASU to its highest finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships since 2010 with a third-place finish as well as the program's first LSC outdoor title since 2015.
